Preparing the Machine 1. Move the machine to a level surface. 2. Set the parking brake and lower the attachments to the ground 3. Stop the engine and remove the key. 4.
Installing the Mounting Frame 5. Install the bolts and washers to fasten the mounting frame to the machine (Figure 2). Note: Your lifting equipment must have a lift capacity of 136 kg (300 lb). Note: Hand-tighten the bolts. Note: Remove all counterweight kit hardware and weights from the mounting frame prior to installation of the counterweight kit. Each counterweight weighs approximately 30 kg (66 lb). 1 2 3 4 1.
Installing the Counterweights 3. Secure the counterweight(s) to the mounting frame with the rod, washers, and locknuts that you removed in step 1 of Preparing the Machine (page 2); refer to Figure 5. 1. If not already installed, install a strut pad to the inside of each side of the mounting frame using the adhesive side of each strut pad. Note: Do not overtighten the nuts. Tighten the nuts only enough to prevent the washers from rattling. Figure 3 1. Strut pad 2.
Installing the Reel 3. Mount the reel carrier arm to the counterweight frame using 4 retaining rings and 2 pins (Figure 8). Models 25459 and 25459E 1. Assemble the spindle (Figure 6). Install the hydraulic hoses and tee fittings to the lift cylinders and the machine (Figure 10 and Figure 11). 3 Note: The hydraulic port on the machine is located on the bottom right side of the front of the machine. On the control panel, remove the dash-switch plug, transfer the wiring harness connector to the rocker switch, and install the rocker switch (Figure 13).
