Secure the slide mount plate to the cylinder using the clevis pin and 2 retaining rings. Installing the Attachment onto a Wheeled Machine 1.
Installing the Attachment onto a Tracked Machine 1. Remove the attachment from the spacer. Note: Do not discard the hardware. Note: Keep the spacer installed on the machine. 8. Raise the trencher attachment off the floor using lifting equipment. Important: Ensure that the lifting equipment has a lifting capacity of at least 405 kg (893 lb). 9. Locate the 2 rows of holes in the mounting plate that you will use to secure the attachment to the sliding offset attachment. 10.
4. Secure the 2 long bolts with 2 nuts; torque the bolts to 686 to 882 N∙m (506 to 651 ft-lb). 5. Install 2 nuts onto the bolts already installed on the spacer; torque the bolts to 686 to 882 N∙m (506 to 651 ft-lb). 6. Insert 1 bolt (1 x 4 inch) and 1 washer through the offset attachment through the hole on the underside of the spacer. 7. Secure the bolt with 1 washer and 1 nut; torque the bolts to 686 to 882 N∙m (506 to 651 ft-lb). 8.
Installing the Hoses onto the Large Manifold 4 1. Install the adapter fittings onto the ports. Installing the Hydraulic Cylinder Hoses Parts needed for this procedure: 2 Adapter fitting Installing the Hoses onto the Small Manifold 1. Install the adapter fittings onto the ports. 2. Install the hose that is coming from the rod end of the hydraulic cylinder to the adapter installed on the top port. 3. Torque the fittings to 48 to 58 N∙m (35 to 43 ft-lb). 4.

Install the 170 cm (67 inch) hose from the hydraulic pressure port (Figure 13) to the lower port on the trencher motor as shown in Figure 15. 6.
7 Installing the Hydraulic Crumber Hoses Parts needed for this procedure: 2 65 cm (25 1/2 inch) Hose Procedure Remove the fittings from the 2 crumber hoses. Connect the 2 hoses (25-1/2 inch) to the machine. Connect the hoses to the crumber hoses.
8 Testing the Switch No Parts Required Procedure Press the switch to position 5 of Figure 21. The trencher drive should shift to the center of the machine. Press the switch to position 6 of Figure 21. The trencher drive should shift to the right side of the machine.
