ReplacingthePTODriveBelt
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Unlatchandremovethecarrierframecover.
4.Unlatchandremovethebeltcovers.
5.Removetheheatshieldfromtheenginedeckand
carrierframe.
6.Rollthebeltoffofthecenterpulleyonthemower
deck(Figure39).Usecautionwhenremovingthe
beltastensionwillincreasebecauseofthespring
loadedidlerpulley.
7.Removethebeltfromtheenginepulleyandthe
springloadedidlerpulley(Figure39).
8.Installthenewbeltontotheenginepulleyandspring
loadedidlerpulley(Figure39).
9.Rollthebeltontothecenterpulleyonthemower
deck(Figure39).Usecautionwheninstallthebelt
astensionwillincreasebecauseofthespringloaded
idlerpulley.
10.Installtheheatshieldtotheenginedeckandcarrier
frame.
11.Installthebeltcoversontothecuttingunitand
securethelatches.
12.Installthecarrierframecoverontothecarrierframe
andsecurethelatches.
