downandexerciseextremecautionwhen
changingdirectiononslopes.
–Alwaysbesureofyourfootingonslopes.
•Uselowthrottlesettingswhenengagingthe
traction-clutch,especiallyinhighgears.Reduce
speedonslopesandinsharpturnstoprevent
overturningorlossofcontrol.
•Stopthebladeifthelawnmowerhastobetiltedfor
transportationwhencrossingsurfacesotherthan
grassandwhentransportingthelawnmowertoand
fromtheareatobemowed.
•Donotoperatetheengineinaconnedspacewhere
dangerouscarbonmonoxidefumescancollect.
•Stoptheengine
–wheneveryouleavethelawnmower.

MaintenanceandStorage
•Keepallnuts,boltsandscrewstighttobesurethe
equipmentisinsafeworkingcondition.
•Donotusepressurecleaningequipmentonmachine.
•Neverstoretheequipmentwithgasolineinthetank
andinsideabuildingwherefumescanreachanopen
ameorspark.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringinany
enclosure.
•Toreducetherehazard,keeptheengine,silencer,
batterycompartmentandgasolinestoragearefreeof
grass,leaves,orexcessivegrease.
•Checkgrasscatchercomponentsandthedischarge
guardfrequentlyandreplacewithmanufacturer’s
recommendedparts,whennecessary.
•Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.
•Replacefaultysilencers.
•Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,dothisout-doors.
•Donotchangetheenginegovernorsettingsor
overspeedtheengine.Operatinganengineat
excessivespeedcanincreasethehazardofpersonal
injury.
•Onmultibladedlawnmowers,takecareasrotating
oneblademaycauseotherstorotate.
•Becarefulduringadjustmentofthelawnmowerto
prevententrapmentofthengersbetweenmoving
bladesandxedpartsofthelawnmower.
•Toensurethebestperformanceandsafety,
purchaseonlygenuineTororeplacementparts
andaccessories.Donotuse
will t partsand
accessories;theymaycauseasafetyhazard.
