32. Install the idler arm spring to the spring post (Fig.

0923).

31. Route the deck drive belt around the clutch (Fig.

34. Lower the machine.

35. Roll the deck drive belt onto the ﬁ xed (center) mower

deck pulley (Fig. 0925).

33. Install the trailing shield into the frame by ﬁ rst insert-

ing the right side of the trailing shield rod (bent at

a 90 degree angle) into the hole in the chassis and

then insert the left end of the trailing shield rod (bent

at a 45 degree angle) into the hole in the chassis

(Fig. 0924).
