1. Turn the ignition off and remove the key. Set the

parking brake.

2. Remove the carrier frame cover (Fig. 1144).

3. Loosen the nut securing the center spindle belt

guide to the mower deck (Fig. 1145).

5. Roll the PTO drive belt off the center spindle pulley

(Fig. 1147).

4. Rotate the belt guide out of the way of the PTO drive

belt (Fig. 1146).
