13. Install the trailing shield into the frame by fi rst insert-
ing the right side of the trailing shield rod (bent at
a 90 degree angle) into the hole in the right side of
the frame and then insert the left end of the trailing
shield rod (bent at a 45 degree angle) into the hole
in the left side of the frame (Fig. 0028).
16. Replace the carrier frame cover (Fig. 0030).

14. Lower the machine.
15. Roll the PTO drive belt onto the center mower deck
pulley (Fig. 0029).

12. Install the PTO idler arm spring to the spring post
(Fig. 0027).
