17. Remove the bulkhead fuel ﬁ tting from the tank

through the fuel cap opening (Fig. 0249).

Note: A ﬂ exible magnet tool is used to aid in re-

moval.

19. Using a needle nose vise grip, clamp the threaded

stud up near where the stud threads into the tank

and remove the stud from the recessed fuel tank nut.

Repeat for second threaded stud (Fig. 0251).

18. Inspect the ﬁ lter screen on the bulkhead fuel ﬁ tting.

Clean or replace the ﬁ lter screen if it is clogged or

damaged (Fig. 0250).

Note: If fuel is leaking from the bulkhead fuel ﬁ tting

area of the tank, the seal on the ﬁ tting has

been compromised and the whole ﬁ tting must

be replaced.

16. Remove the fuel cap assembly from the fuel tank

(Fig. 0248).
