1 Preparing the Machine No Parts Required Procedure 1. Position the machine on a level surface, shut the engine off, and remove the key from the ignition. 2. Chock the wheels to prevent the machine from moving during the installation. 3. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable from the battery. 4. Allow the engine coolant to cool and then drain the coolant from the machine; refer to the Service Manual. 5. Remove the bolt securing the brake pin that holds the brake pedals (Figure 1). 3 Drilling the Accessory Holes No Parts Required Drilling the Front Mount Hole Follow this procedure if the mounting hole is not present. 1.
