Subject: Service intervals for Hydraulic Oil and Hydraulic Oil filter(s)
The original manuals for the units identified above have incomplete hydraulic
system maintenance information. The changes to the service intervals for the
care and maintenance of the hydraulic system are listed below. The most
significant items are the service intervals with Auxiliary Hydraulic Kit (30726)
installed. Please make note of these important changes.
Change 1 (general maintenance information):
Standard hydraulic oil and filter change for the traction unit is now 800 hours with
an initial change at 200 hours. The original published time frames involved an
earlier change interval, therefore no equipment risk is present regardless of the
interval used.
Change 2 (traction unit equipped with Hydraulic Kit 30726):
Change Hydraulic Oil and both Hydraulic Filters (traction unit system and
Hydraulic Kit system) initially at 200 hours and thereafter at 400 hour intervals.
The load and heat that this equipment generates requires earlier change
intervals to ensure maximum component durability.
