Subject: Revision of the Front Wheel Lug Nut Torque Specification

The Operators Manual for the Groundsmaster 3000 Series has been revised with

regard to the front wheel Lug Nut Torque Specification. The current stated specification

is “45-55 ft. lbs. to be rechecked at 1 to 4 hours of use, again at 10 hours and thereafter

every 200 hours of operation.” This statement will be modified to read “75 to 80 ft. lbs.

(108 nm) to be rechecked at 1 to 4 hours of use, again at 10 hours and thereafter every

200 hours of operation”.

Current online and future Operators manuals will reflect this change.

Wheels maintained at 45-55 ft. lbs. and rechecked as specified will perform without

failure. The reason for this change is to increase the margin of safety for our customers

and maintain consistency within all documentation pertaining to this product.
