BlowerRemoval

1.Shuttheengineoffandwaitforallmovingpartsto

stop.

2.Releasethelatchesandremovebeltcover.

3.Loosentheboltandnutsecuringthejackshaft

assemblytotheadjustingbracket.Removethedrive

beltfromthelowerjackshaftpulley.

4.Releasethelatchessecuringtheblowertocuttingunit

andremovetheblowerandchute.

5.Insertthedrivebeltintothebeltcoverspringclips.

6.Reversetheproceduretoreinstallblowerassembly.

ReplacingtheGrassDeector

WARNING

Anuncovereddischargeopeningcouldallowthe

lawnmowertothrowobjectsintheoperator'sor

bystander'sdirectionandresultinseriousinjury.

Also,contactwiththebladecouldoccur.

•Neveroperatethelawnmowerunlessyouinstall

acoverplate,amulchplate,oragrasschuteand

catcher.

•Makesurethegrassdeectorisinthedown

position.

1.Placethespacerandspringbetweenthegrassdeector

brackets(Figure22).PlacethelefthandJhookendof

thespringbehindthedeckedge.

Note:MakesurethelefthandJhookendofthe

springisinstalledbehindthedeckedgebeforeinstalling

theboltasshowninFigure22.
