Removethekeyfromtheignitionbeforeyoudoany

maintenance.

CheckingtheLubricantinthe

GearBox

ServiceInterval:Every50hours

Thegearboxisdesignedtooperateoneitherpetroleumor

syntheticSAE80–90wt.gearlube.Althoughthegearbox

isshippedwithlubricantfromthefactory,checkthelevel

beforeoperatingthecuttingunit.Thegearboxcapacityis

283ml(12ounces).

1.Positionthemachineandcuttingunitonalevelsurface.

2.Removethedipstick/llplugfromthetopofthegear

box(Figure5)andmakesurethatthelubricantis

betweenthemarksonthedipstick.Ifthelubricant

levelislow ,addenoughlubricantuntilthelevelis

betweenthemarks.
