Subject: A Cracked Muffler Pipe, Mounting Bracket or Mounting Studs.

Certain machines have experienced cracked muffler pipes at the exhaust manifold

and/or failures of the muffler bracket retainer studs (installed in the cylinder head).

These malfunctions are due to a main muffler bracket failure that can transmit excessive

vibrations to the other components and cause them to fail.

If any above listed machine’s exhaust components fail, install a Muffler Mounting Kit

(112-9120) to prevent repeat failures. The Kit includes an improved muffler mounting

system that will minimize vibration effects on the exhaust system components.

Note: The Muffler Mounting Kit

DOES NOT contain a replacement Muffler.

Replacement Mufflers will need to be ordered separately.
