Installation Instructions

1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting

unit to the floor, engage the parking brake, be sure the

traction pedal is in the neutral position and the PTO is

OFF. Shut the engine OFF and remove the key from the

switch.

2. Remove the bolts securing the hydraulic motors to the

deck (Fig. 1). Lift the motors off the deck and lay them

on a clean, out of the way, surface. Do not damage

aluminium couplers.

3. Remove the elastomeric spider from inside each pulley

coupler. Inspect for wear and replace if worn.

Otherwise, retain for re–installation on new deck

(Fig. 2).

Note: Inspect spider hub for wear and replace if worn

(Fig. 2).

4. Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the wing deck lift

cylinders (Fig. 3).

Important When re–assembling the hydraulic hoses to

the lift cylinders, make sure the O–rings are in place and

the fittings are torqued to 17 to 19 ft–lbs.

5. Locate and unplug the cutting unit wire harness from

the traction unit wire harness(Fig. 4).Also, remove any

cable ties securing the cutting unit wire harness to any

traction unit components.

6. Remove the hair pin cotters securing the dampers to the cutting lift arms (Fig. 5). 9. Remove the bolts, washers and locknuts securing each lift arm mount to the cutting unit castor arm tubes (Fig. 8). Important When re–assembling the lift arm mounts to the castor arm tubes, make sure they are positioned so the slotted mounting holes are to the rear and the fasteners are torqued to 75–85 ft–lbs. 1 2 Figure 5 1.
