1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,shutengineoffand

lowercuttingunitstotheoor.

Steps2through10areformodels30410,30411,

30412and30413.

2.Removetheknobssecuringthecontrolpanel

housingtothecontrolpanelcompartment(Figure1).

Removethehousing.

3.Removetheplugfromtheswitchmountingholein

thecontrolpanel(Figure1).

compartment(Figure2)witha1/4x7/8inch

capscrewandlocknut.Thekitissuppliedwithtwo

relays,usetherelaythatmatchestheconnectoron

theharnessdescribedinthenextstep.Discardthe

remainingrelay.

7.Locatethebundledwireharness(labeledcruise)

underthecontrolpanel.Plugthesinglewireharness

connectorintotherelay.

8.Re-installthecontrolpanelhousingtothecontrol

panelcompartmentandsecureitwithknobs.

9.Disconnecttheupperhydraulichosefromthefront,

right,deckliftcylinder.

10.Undertheoorplateandabovetherightliftarm,

locatethetwoconnectorsonthewireharness.Plug

adiodeintoeachconnector(Figure2).Wiretiesmay

havetoberemovedtoaccesstheharness.Proceed

tostep20.

Park machine on a level surface, shut engine off and lower cutting units to the floor. Steps 2 through 10 are for models 30410, 30411, 30412 and 30413. 2. Remove the knobs securing the control panel housing to the control panel compartment (Figure 1). Remove the housing. 3. Remove the plug from the switch mounting hole in the control panel (Figure 1). 7.

19. Disconnect the upper hydraulic hose from the front, right, deck lift cylinder. Remaining steps are for all models 20. Mount the field core coil and coil mount to the right side of the traction unit frame, above the front axle, with (4) 1/4 x 7/8 inch capscrews, (4) locknuts and (1) external tooth lockwasher as shown in Figure 5. Note: The lockwasher is to be mounted between the capscrew head and the frame. Note: The shaft from the coil mount is to be positioned to the rear. 21.

Operation Operating the Speed Control 1. Sit on seat, operate the machine in the normal manner. 2. Position the traction pedal so the machine is operating at the desired ground speed. 3. Hold the pedal in position, depress the cruise control switch. The switch will illuminate when in the "ON" position. Figure 6 1. Long switch bracket 2. Switch 4. With the cruise control engaged, the traction pedal must be able to override the system with moderate foot force.
