Subject: All units equipped with Peugeot Engines.
Your Toro distributor now has Peugeot recommended Coolant/Anti-Freeze available in
1 Gallon containers. This specially formulated Coolant is strongly recommended by
Peugeot when servicing cooling systems on Toro equipment powered by a Peugeot
Diesel Engine.
This non-foaming, pH balanced coolant is designed to enhance proper cooling system
operation (heat transfer) on engines equipped with aluminum cylinder heads. It
contains no undesirable additives such as borate, nitrate, phosphate or silicate which
can lead to cylinder head/cooling system problems.
Using substandard coolants could result in degradation of material from the aluminum
cylinder head and eventual leakage. The most susceptible location for this to occur is
at locations where the operating temperature of the head is the hottest (e.g. behind
exhaust valve seat areas).
Use of the Peugeot recommended Coolant/Anti-Freeze would provide superior
protection for any engine year round.
IMPORTANT: Peugeot strongly recommends this coolant be used when servicing
cooling systems. Use of substandard coolants may affect future
warranty considerations.
Peugeot now approves the use of Havoline Dex-Cool brand anti-
freeze/coolant in Peugeot engines as a substitute for Toro
supplied Anti-freeze (93-7213).
