1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
mowerdeck,movethethrottlelevertotheSlow
position,stoptheengine,andremovethekeyfrom
theignitionswitch.Openthehood.
2.Removethedipstick(Figure41),wipeitclean,and
installthedipstick.Removethedipstickandcheck
theoillevel.
TheoillevelshouldbeuptotheFullmarkonthe
dipstick.

cap(Figure41)andaddoiluntilthelevelreachesthe
Fullmarkonthedipstick.

4.Installtheoilllcapandclosethehood.
ChangingtheEngineOilAndFilter
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst50hours
Every150hours
Changetheoilandlterinitiallyafterrst50hours
ofoperationandthenevery150hoursofoperation
thereafter.Ifpossible,runtheenginejustbefore
changingtheoilbecausewarmoilowsbetterand
carriesmorecontaminantsthancoldoil.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Openthehood.
3.Setadrainpanundertheoilpanandinlinewith
thedrainplug(Figure42).

4.Cleantheareaaroundthedrainplug.
5.Removethedrainplugandallowtheoiltoowinto
drainpan.
6.Removeandreplacetheoillter(Figure42).
7.Aftertheoilisdrained,installthedrainplugand
wipeupanyoilthatisspilled.
8.Fillthecrankcasewithoil;refertoCheckingthe
EngineOilLevel.
