Thisadjustmentmustbemadewithdrivewheelsturning.
Mechanicalorhydraulicjacksmayfailto
supportmachineandcauseaseriousinjury.
•Usejackstandswhensupportingmachine.
•Donotusehydraulicjacks.
Theenginemustberunningtoperformthis
adjustment.Contactwithmovingpartsorhot
surfacesmaycausepersonalinjury.
Keephands,feet,face,clothing,andotherbody
partsawayfromrotatingparts,mufer,and
otherhotsurfaces.
1.Raisetheframeontostablejackstandssothatthe
drivewheelscanrotatefreely.
2.Slideseatforward,unlatchit,andswingitupand
forward.
3.Disconnecttheelectricalconnectorfromtheseat
safetyswitch.Temporarilyinstallajumperwire
acrossterminalsinthewiringharnessconnector.
4.Starttheengine,ensurethatthethrottleleveris
midwaybetweentheFastandSlowpositions,and
releasetheparkingbrake
Note:Themotioncontrolleversmustbein
theneutrallockedpositionwhilemakingany
adjustments.
5.Adjustthepumprodlengthononesidebyrotating
thehexshaft,intheappropriatedirection,untilthe
correspondingwheelisstillorslightlycreepingin
reverse(Figure60).
