towardthefrontofthedeck.
ServicingtheBushingsinthe
CastorArms
Thecastorarmshavebushingspressedintothetopand
bottomofthetubeandaftermanyhoursofoperation,the
bushingswillwear.Tocheckthebushings,movethecastor
forkbackandforthandfromsidetoside.Ifthecastor
spindleislooseinsidethebushings,thebushingsareworn;
replacethemasfollows:
1.Raisethecuttingunitsothatthewheelsareoffof
theoor.Latchthecuttingunitsothatitcannot
accidentallyfall.
2.Removethetensioningcap,spacer(s),andthrust
washerfromthetopofthecastorspindle.
3.Pullthecastorspindleoutofthemountingtube.
Allowthethrustwasherandspacer(s)toremainon
thebottomofthespindle.
4.Insertapinpunchintothetoporbottomofthe
mountingtubeanddrivethebushingoutofthetube
(Figure24).
5.Drivetheotherbushingoutofthetube.Cleanthe
insideofthetubestoremovedirt.

bushings.Usingahammerandatplate,drivethe
bushingsintothemountingtube.
7.Inspectthecastorspindleforwearandreplaceitif
damaged.

mountingtube.Slidethethrustwasherandspacer(s)
ontothespindle.Installthetensioningcaponthe
castorspindletoretainallpartsinplace.

1.Removethelocknutfromtheboltholdingthecastor
wheelassemblybetweenthecastorfork(Figure25).
Graspthecastorwheelandslidetheboltoutofthe
forkorpivotarm.
