thebearingspacertofallout(Figure25).Removethe
bearingfromtheoppositesideofthewheelhub.
3.Checkthebearings,spacer,andinsideofthewheelhub
forwear.Replaceanydamagedparts.
4.Toassemblethecastorwheel,pushthebearingintothe
wheelhub.Wheninstallingthebearings,pressonthe
outerraceofthebearing.
5.Slidethebearingspacerintothewheelhub.Pushthe
otherbearingintotheopenendofthewheelhubto
captivatethebearingspacerinsidethewheelhub.
6.Installthecastorwheelassemblybetweenthecastor
forkandsecureitinplacewiththeboltandlocknut.
CheckingforaBentBlade
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.Raisethe
cuttingunit,engagetheparkingbrake,putthetraction
pedalinneutral,putthecuttingunitdriveswitchinthe
OFFposition,stoptheengine,andremovetheignition
key.
Note:Latchthecuttingunittopreventitfrom
accidentallyfalling.
2.Rotatethebladeuntiltheendsfaceforwardand
backward.
Note:Measurefromtheinsideofthecuttingunitto
thecuttingedgeatthefrontoftheblade(Figure26),
andrememberthisdimension.

Replacethebladeifithitsasolidobject,isoutofbalance,
worn,orbent.AlwaysusegenuineTororeplacementblades
toensuresafetyandoptimumperformance.Neveruse
bladesmadebyothermanufacturersbecausetheycouldbe
dangerous.
1.Raisethecuttingunittothehighestposition,engage
theparkingbrake,stoptheengine,andremovethe
ignitionkey.
Note:Latchthecuttingunittopreventitfrom
accidentallyfalling.
2.Grasptheendofthebladeusingaragorthickly
paddedglove.Removethebladebolt,anti-scalpcup,
andbladefromthespindleshaft(Figure27).
