WithallcutterheadssetatthesameHOCviathe
indicatorrings,itmaybenoticeablethatthecenterunit
producesahighercutnishcomparedtothewingunits.
Thecenterunitispulledandthewingunitsarepushed,
thispresentsmarginallydifferentcuttinganglesrelative
totheground.TheamountofHOCvariation,which
resultsfromthis,willbeinuencedbytheterrainbut
satisfactoryresultscanusuallybeachievedbysetting
thecentercutterheadHOCindicatorringlowerthan
thewingunitsettings.
CutterheadPositionControl
Thecutterheadsmayberaisedorloweredindependently
usingthebankof3liftcontrolswitches.
1.Tolowerthecutterheads,operatetheliftcontrol
switchesinadownwarddirectionandrelease.
Thecutterheaddriveswitchmustbeon(forward)
todothis,thecylinderdrivewillengagewhenthe
cutterheadsareapproximately150mm(6˝)above
groundlevel.Thecutterhead(s)arenowin‘oat’
modeandwillfollowthegroundcontours.
2.Toraisethecutterheads,operatetheliftcontrol
switchesinanupwarddirectionandholdin
position3.Ifthecutterheaddriveswitchisin
theOnpositionthecylinderdrivewilldisengage
immediately.
3.Releasetheliftcontrolswitcheswhenthe
cutterheadsareattherequiredheight.
Thecontrolswitcheswillautomaticallyreturnto
position2(neutral)andthearmsarehydraulically
lockedintoposition.
AdjustingtheCutterheadAuto
LimitedLift
Toactivate,presstheAutoLimitedLiftswitchtothe
ONposition.
Todeactivate,presstheAutoLimitedLiftswitchtothe
OFFposition.
Manuallimitedliftusingthethreeliftcontrolswitches
isalwaysavailableregardlessofthepositionoftheAuto
switch.

Thecylinderdrivewilldisengageimmediatelyandthe
cutterheadswillstopraising,approximately150mm(6
inches)abovegroundlevel.
Thisoperateswiththecutterheadsloweredandrotating.
Autolimitedliftinreversecausesthecutterheadstorise
automaticallytothelimitedliftpositionwhenreversing.
Theywillreturntotheoatingpositionwhenreturning
toforwardtravel.Thecuttingcylinderscontinueto
rotateduringthisoperation.
