Important:Beforeweldingonthemachine,
disconnectbothcablesfromthebattery,bothwire
harnessplugsfromtheelectroniccontrolmodule,
andtheterminalconnectorfromthealternatorto
preventdamagetotheelectricalsystem.
CheckElectricalSystem
ServiceInterval:Every500hours
Inspectallelectricalconnectionsandcablesandreplace
anywhicharedamagedorcorroded.Sprayagood
qualitywaterinhibitorontoexposedconnectionsto
preventmoistureingress.
CheckBatteryCondition
ServiceInterval:Every250hours
Note:Whenremovingthebattery,alwaysdisconnect
thenegative(-)cablerst.
Note:Wheninstallingthebattery,alwaysconnectthe
negative(-)cablelast.
Raisetheenginecover.Removeanycorrosionfromthe
batteryterminalsusingawirebrushandapplypetroleum
jellytotheterminalstopreventfurthercorrosion.Clean
thebatterycompartment.
Undernormaloperatingconditionsthebatterywill
notrequireanyfurtherattention.Ifthemachinehas
beensubjecttocontinuoususeunderhighambient
temperatureconditions,thebatteryelectrolytemay
requiretoppingup.
Removethecellcoversandtopupwithdistilledwater
toaheight15mmbelowthetopofthebattery.Install
thecellcovers.
Note:Checktheconditionofthebatterycables.Install
newcableswhencurrentonesareshowingsignsof
wearordamageandtightenanylooseconnectionsas
necessary.

ControlCableandOperating
Mechanism
ServiceInterval:Every250hours
Checktheconditionandsecurityofthecableand
operatingmechanismatthespeedcontrolpedalsand
transmissionpumpends.
Removebuildupofdirt,gritandotherdeposits.
Ensurethattheballjointsaresecurelyanchoredand
checkthatmountingbracketsandcableanchorsare
tightandfreefromcracks.
Inspectendttingsforwear,corrosion,broken
springs,andreplaceifnecessary.
Ensurethattherubbersealsarecorrectlylocated
andareingoodcondition.
Ensurethatthearticulatingsleevessupporting
theinnercableareingoodconditionandrmly
attachedtotheoutercableassemblyatthecrimped
connections.Ifthereareanysignsofcrackingor
detachmentinstallanewcableimmediately.
Checkthatsleeves,rods,andinnercablearefree
frombends,kinks,orotherdamage.Iftheyarenot,
installanewcableimmediately.
Withtheengineswitchedoff,operatethepedal
controlsthroughtheentirerangeandensurethatthe
mechanismmovessmoothlyandfreelytotheneutral
positionwithoutstickingorhangingup.
