Note:Theglowpluglightilluminatesfor6seconds
whenyouturntheignitionkeytotheRUNposition.
TurntheignitiontotheSTARTpositionafterthelight
goesout.
Important:Usestartingcyclesofnomorethan
15secondsperminutetoavoidoverheatingthe
startermotor.
Important:Operatethemachinewiththethrottle
leverintheSLOWpositioninboththeforward
andreversedirectionsfor1to2minutesafter
changingtheengineoil,overhaulingeitherthe
engine,transmission,orwheelmotor,andwhen
youstarttheengineforthersttime.Operatethe
liftleverandPTOlevertoensurethattheyoperate
properly.Shuttheengineoff,checkuidlevels,
andcheckforoilleaks,looseparts,andanyother
noticeablemalfunctions.

DrivingtheMachine
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedas
measuredinrpm(revolutionsperminute).Place
thethrottlecontrolintheFASTpositionforbest
performance.AlwaysoperateintheFASTthrottle
positionwhenrunningpoweredattachments.

Themachinecanturnveryrapidly.Youmay
losecontrolofitandcausepersonalinjuryor
damagethemachine.

Slowthemachinedownbeforemaking
sharpturns.
1.Releasetheparkingbrake.
Note:Theengineshutsoffifyoumovethe
motion-controlleversoutoftheNEUTRAL-LOCK
positionwiththeparkingbrakeengaged.
2.Movetheleverstothecenter,unlockedposition.
3.Drivethemachineasfollows:
Tomovestraightforward,slowlypushthe
motion-controlleversforward(Figure24).
Tomovestraightrearward,slowlypullthe
motion-controlleversrearward(Figure24).
Toturn,slowthemachinebypullingbackon
bothleversandthenpushforwardonthe
leverontheoppositesidefromwhichyou
wanttoturn(Figure24).
Tostop,pullthemotion-controlleverstothe
NEUTRALposition.
Note:Thefartheryoumovethemotion-control
leversineitherdirection,thefasterthemachine
movesinthatdirection.
