6. Tighten the nuts securing the side ﬂ ange bearing in

place on the hydro control shield (Fig. 562).

8. Apply grease to the side ﬂ ange bearing (Fig. 564).

7. Install the spring onto the control shaft (Fig. 563).

1. Disengage the blade control (PTO) lever and set the

parking brake.

2. Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop.

3. Raise the rear of the machine and secure it with jack

stands.
