PTO Lever Replacement - Gear Drive
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
2. Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop.
3. Remove the upper hairpin cotter from the blade drive
linkage rod (Fig. 096).
5. Remove the blade drive linkage rod (Fig. 098).

6. Loosen and remove the nut securing the blade
engagement lever to the handle (Fig. 099).
4. Remove the lower hairpin cotter from the blade drive
linkage rod (Fig. 097).

Removal
T-Bar Gear only (steps 6-9):
Note: The handle must be set up in the lowest
handle height position. In the 2 highest
positions, the fuel tank blocks the removal
of the lever, bolt, spacer and washer. See
the Operators Manual for handle height
adjustment procedures.
