Subject: R-Clamp Replacement Kit - Customer Direct Offer.
The metal R-Clamp that secures the positive battery cable and fuel return lines may
start to chafe the outer cover of the positive battery cable and expose the inner cable
wires to the environment and/or shorting out the battery by contacting the metal R-
clamp or frame.
The Toro Company is offering an easy to install R-Clamp Replacement Kit (99-1295)
that will be standard on future products and may be installed on all products listed
above. This kit uses a polyethylene (plastic) type clamp to secure the positive battery
cable and fuel return lines separately. Registered Owners (USA only) were contacted
by mail in April of 1999.
