Note: Left and right side of V–Plow and Groundsmaster is determined by standing behind the plow or sitting in the

operator’s position.

Prepare Lift Arms and V–plow

1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting

unit completely, stop the engine and remove the key.

Remove cutting unit from traction unit. Refer to

Cutting Unit Operator’s Manual for removal

procedure.

Note: Because kit does not include clevis/clevis pins or

lift chains, these parts must be obtained from the

Groundsmaster cutter deck. Therefore, when

disassembling deck from push arms, save clevis/clevis

pins and lift chains.

2. Remove ball joints from push arms.

3. Install lift socket into left side push arm. Adjust lift socket so there is two inches from center line of socket to front surface of push arm (Fig. 1). When lift socket is adjusted correctly, bottom jam nut (Fig. 1) is against front of lift arm. REAR VIEW OF FLANGE USE THESE HOLES Figure 3 6. Remove capscrew and jam nut from V–shaped flange at rear of plow. Next, install stop bracket on V–flange with two capscrews and lockwashers (Fig. 4). Lastly, install capscrew and jam nut into stop bracket (Fig.

Next, secure second last link of left side lift chain to clevis with clevis pin and cotter pin (Fig. 8). Figure 6 4. Secure right side of plow to push arm bracket with short mounting pin. Figure 9 Figure 11 Perform FInal Adjustments 3. If plow will be used on concrete or asphalt surfaces, post skids (Fig. 12) must be adjusted upward so plow contacts surface. By contrast, skids must be adjusted downward–raise plow off surface–when plow will be used on gravel or crushed rock surfaces. 1. With plow contacting flat surface, adjust stop bracket capscrew (Fig. 10) upward against push arm–until front of plow begins to move up: then bottom jam (Fig. 10) against stop bracket.
