Potential Steering Hardline Contact
with Engine Oil Cooler

Situation:
A steering hard line could contact the bottom of the engine oil cooler. If this contact continues, the
steering hard line will wear and may ultimately fail.
Instructions:
During maintenance, inspect the area near the engine oil filter/cooler to ensure there is ample
clearance between the cooler and the steering hard line. If the hard line is contacting the engine oil
cooler, bend the line down, away from the cooler until it clears. Inspect the hard line for any damage
that could result in failure.
