If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone

could accidently start the engine and seriously

injure you or other bystanders.

Remove the key from the ignition and disconnect

the wire(s) from the spark plug(s) before you do

any maintenance. Set the wire(s) aside so that it

does not accidentally contact the spark plug(s).

Caution

Install the Switch and Relay

1. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable from the

battery.

2. Remove the (2) screws securing the console shroud and

remove the shroud (Fig. 1).

Install the Light Assemblies 1. Using the dimensions shown in figure 6, locate, mark and drill (2) 11/32 inch diameter holes thru both walls of the roller support tube. 11/32” dia. . Route the harness end with (2) yellow wired connectors to the key switch area. 15. Connect the red/black wired connectors to the light assemblies. 5. Secure the harness with cable ties. 16. Disconnect the existing yellow female connector from the back of the key switch and connect it to the yellow male connector on the new harness. Connect the yellow female connector on the new harness to the back of the key switch. 6. Route the black wired ring terminal to the battery box. 7.
