1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,andlowerthe

mowerdeckandanyattachmentstotheground.

2.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,

engagetheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfrom

theignitionswitch.

3.Disconnectthenegative(–)batterycablefromthe

battery.

WARNING

Wearsafetygogglesandrubbergloveswhen

workingwithbatteries.Sincethegasesare

explosive,keepopenamesandelectrical

sparksawayfrombatteries.Donotsmoke

nearthebattery.

1.Tiltthesteeringtowerforward.

2.Movetheseatlatch(locatedontheleft-handsideof

theseat)rearwardtounlatchtheseat,thenpullforward

onthetopoftheseatuntiltheseattiltsforwardand

contactsthesteeringwheel(Figure1).

Note:Ensurethattheseatproplockstheseatplate

securelyinplace.
