•Thegrassdeectormustalwaysbeinstalled
andinthelowestpositiononthesidedischarge
cuttingunit.Neveroperatethemowerwithoutthe
deectororentiregrasscollector.
•Ifthecuttingunitdischargeareaeverplugs,shut
theengineoffbeforeremovingtheobstruction.
•Cutgrassslopescarefully.Donotstart,stop,or
turnsuddenly.
•Donottouchtheengineormuferwhiletheengine
isrunningorsoonafterithasstoppedbecause
theseareascouldbehotenoughtocauseburns.
MaintenanceandStorage
•Checktheblademountingboltsfrequentlytobe
surethattheyaretightenedtospecication.
•Makesurethatallhydrauliclineconnectorsare
tightandallhydraulichosesandlinesareingood
conditionbeforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompinhole
leaksornozzlesthatejecthydraulicuidunder
highpressure.Usepaperorcardboard,not
yourhands,tosearchforleaks.Hydraulicuid
escapingunderpressurecanhavesufcientforce
topenetratetheskinandcauseseriousinjury.
•Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkon
thehydraulicsystem,allpressureinthesystem
mustberelievedbystoppingtheengineand
loweringthecuttingunitstotheground.
•Iftheenginemustberunningtoperforma
maintenanceadjustment,keephands,feet,
clothing,andanypartsofthebodyawayfromthe
cuttingunits,attachments,andanymovingparts.
Keepeveryoneaway.
•Donotoverspeedtheenginebychanging
governorsettings.T oensuresafetyandaccuracy,
haveanAuthorizedToroDistributorcheckthe
maximumenginespeedwithatachometer.
•Theenginemustbeshutoffbeforecheckingthe
oiloraddingoiltothecrankcase.
•Makesurethatthemowerfueltankisemptyifthe
machineistobestoredinexcessof30days.Do
notstorethemowernearanyopenameorwhere
gasolinefumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
•Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructions
describedinthismanual.Ifmajorrepairsareever
neededorifassistanceisdesired,contactan
AuthorizedT oroDistributor.
•Tomakesureofoptimumperformanceand
continuedsafetycerticationofthemachine,
useonlygenuineTororeplacementpartsand
accessories.Replacementpartsandaccessories
madebyothermanufacturerscouldbedangerous,
andsuchusecouldvoidtheproductwarranty.
