Removing the Existing Deck (Figure 2) and remove the HOC pin from the HOC bracket. Note: If the machine is not equipped with a mower deck, skip this procedure and proceed to Installing the Adapter Kit (page 5). CAUTION The pull-link torsion springs may cause some rotation of the pull links during installation. Be careful when connecting the pull links to the machine. 1.
7. B. Loosen the 2 bolts and locknuts (Figure 3). C. Slide the driveshaft end yoke from the gearbox shaft. D. Raise the driveshaft and tie it to the frame. Slide the deck away from the machine. Installing the Adapter Kit Applying the Decals 1. Select the correct height-of-cut decal for your machine. 2. Remove the existing height-of-cut decal from the height-of-cut bracket on the machine (Figure 4). g025287 Figure 5 1. Locknut 2. New height-of-cut decal 5. 3. Bolt 4.
Removing the Fender WARNING Hydraulic fluid escaping under pressure can penetrate skin and cause injury. Fluid injected into the skin must be surgically removed within a few hours by a doctor familiar with this form of injury or gangrene may result. • Keep your body and hands away from pinhole leaks or nozzles that eject high-pressure hydraulic fluid. • Use cardboard or paper to find hydraulic leaks; never use your hands.
3. Disconnect the hydraulic hose from the 90-degree fitting on the front of the lift-valve-manifold block (Figure 9). Note: Have a drain pan or a rag available to catch the hydraulic fluid. g025291 Figure 9 3. Hydraulic hose 1. 90-degree fitting 2. Lift-valve-manifold block 4. Remove the 90-degree fitting from the front of the manifold block (Figure 9) and discard the fitting.
Mounting the Deck to the Machine 1. C. Remove the nuts securing the lift chain U-bolts to the underside of the deck (Figure 11). Using the top chain links, secure the front lift chains to the outboard side of the lift brackets. g025293 Figure 11 1. U-bolt 2. Nut (2) 2. Remove 1 of the top nuts from the U-bolts, insert the lift chains onto the U-bolts, and then install the top nut. 3. Install the U-bolts to the deck with the nuts previously removed (Figure 11). 4.
Installing the Hoses 1. Loosely install the mid-length hydraulic hose to the outboard port of the right wing cylinder (Figure 13). Do not tighten the fitting. g025294 Figure 14 1. Long hose 3. Short hose 2. Deck-lift-valve tee fitting 4. Deck-lift cylinder 3. On Model 31200 or 31200A, remove and discard the cap from the end of the deck-lift-cylinder tee fitting (Figure 15). g026235 g025303 Figure 15 Figure 13 1. Long hose 3. Right wing cylinder 1. Cap 2. Connecting the Long Hose Models 31200 and 31200A Only This procedure is required only on Models 31200 and 31200A. 1. Install the straight-fitting end of the long hydraulic hose to the inboard port of the right wing cylinder and tighten the fitting. 2. Route the hose from the right wing cylinder along the mid-length hose, under the hydraulic-tank bracket and under the transmission filter, and to the capped fitting on the hydraulic hard line (Figure 18).
Connecting the Pull Links to the Machine 1. Secure the 2 lift cylinder hoses to the underside of the hydraulic tank with a cable tie or the R-clamp, bolt (3/8 x 1 inch), and the sheet-metal nut (Figure 20). Note: Make sure that the hoses are not twisted and do not contact any hot, sharp, or moving parts. g025296 Figure 20 1. Sheet-metal nut 3. Bolt (3/8 x 1 inch) 2. R-clamp 2. Start the engine and fully raise the deck. Shut off the engine and remove the key from the ignition switch.
Installing the Fuse Block and the Wire Harness 1. Disconnect the battery wires from the battery posts. Important: Disconnect the negative cable from the battery post before disconnecting the positive cable. 2. Locate the 2 holes at the top of the fuse-block mounting plate (Figure 22 Figure 23). 3. Mount the fuse block to the fuse-block mounting plate with 2 washer-head screws (#10 x 3/4 inch) and nuts (#10); refer to Figure 22 and Figure 23. g037061 Figure 23 Tier 4 Yanmar Model Shown 1.

Secure the harness to the existing harness with cable ties, and secure any excess harness wires away from any hot, sharp, or moving parts. 8. When removing the mower deck, plug the shunt wire harness into the deck wire harness as shown in Figure 25. Connect the battery cables.
Completing the Installation 1. Install the height-of-cut pin into the height-of-cut bracket at the desired height of cut (Figure 27). g025302 Figure 27 1. HOC pin 2. HOC bracket 2. Check the hydraulic-oil level and replenish the oil as required; refer to the machine Operator’s Manual. 3. Level the cutting unit; refer to the cutting unit Operator’s Manual. 4.
