CAUTION
Ifsafetyinterlockswitchesaredisconnected
ordamaged,themachinecouldoperate
unexpectedly,causingpersonalinjury.
Donottamperwiththeinterlockswitches.
Checktheoperationoftheinterlock
switchesdailyandreplaceanydamaged
switchesbeforeoperatingthemachine.
VerifyingtheInterlockSwitch
Function
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
attachment,shutofftheengine,andengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Raisetheseat.
3.Locatethewireharnessandconnectorsnear
thecontroller(Figure40).

5.TurnthekeyswitchtotheONposition,butdo
notstarttheengine.

6.The“inputsdisplayed”LED,onthelower
rightcolumnoftheDiagnosticACE,should
beilluminated.Ifthe“outputsdisplayed”
LEDisilluminated,pressthetogglebutton
ontheDiagnosticACEtochangeitto“inputs
displayed.”
TheDiagnosticACEwillilluminatetheLED
associatedwitheachoftheinputswhenyou
closethatinputswitch.
7.Individuallychangeeachoftheswitches
fromopentoclosed(i.e.,sitonseat,engage
thetractionpedal,etc.),andnotethatthe
appropriateLEDonDiagnosticACEblinks
onandoffwhenyouclosethecorresponding
switch.Repeatthisforallswitchesthatyoucan
changemanually.
8.Ifaswitchisclosedandtheappropriate
LEDdoesnotturnon,checkallwiringand
connectionstotheswitchand/orcheckthe
switchwithanohmmeter.Replaceallswitches
andrepairwiringthatarenotfunctioning.
Note:TheDiagnosticACEalsohastheabilityto
detectwhichoutputsolenoidsorrelaysareturned
on.Thisisaquickwaytodeterminethesourceof
themalfunction.
