CheckingtheTirePressure
ServiceInterval:Every50hours
Checkthepressureafterevery50operatinghoursormonthly,
whicheveroccursrst.
Maintaintheairpressureinthefrontandreartires.The
correctairpressureis172kPa(25psi)inthereartiresand
103kPa(15psi)inthefronttires.Ifacabisinstalledonthe
machine,thefrontandreartiresshouldbeinatedto172kPa
(25psi).Uneventirepressurecancausepoortractionand
possiblydamagetothetractiondrivecomponents.Checkthe
tireswhentheyarecoldtogetthemostaccuratepressure
reading.

1.Pressthesteeringselectorswitchtotherearward(four
wheelssteer)position(Figure40).

2.Onapavedordirtsurface,turnthesteeringwheelto
theleftorrightandcontinueturninguntilall4wheels
havestoppedturning.Automaticsynchronizationof
wheelalignmentshouldoccur.
Important:Doingthisprocedureonturfcan
resultinturfdamagedirectlyundereachofthe
turningtires.

Dischargeofhotpressurizedcoolantortouching
hotradiatorandsurroundingpartscancausesevere
burns.
•Donotremovetheradiatorcapwhentheengine
ishot.Alwaysallowtheenginetocoolatleast
15minutesoruntiltheradiatorcapiscool
enoughtotouchwithoutburningyourhand
beforeremovingtheradiatorcap.
•Donottouchradiatorandsurroundingparts
thatarehot.

Therotatingfananddrivebeltcancausepersonal
injury.
•Donotoperatethemachinewithoutthecovers
inplace.
•Keepngers,handsandclothingclearof
rotatingfananddrivebelt.
•Shutofftheengineandremovetheignitionkey
beforeperformingmaintenance.

Swallowingenginecoolantcancausepoisoning.

CheckingtheCoolingSystem
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Thecoolingsystemislledwitha50/50solutionofwater
andpermanentethyleneglycolantifreeze.Checkthelevelof
thecoolantintheexpansiontankatthebeginningofeachday
beforestartingtheengine.Thecapacityofthecoolingsystem
is7.5liters(6quarts).
1.Checkthelevelofthecoolantintheexpansiontank
(Figure41).Thecoolantlevelshouldbebetweenthe
marksonthesideofthetank.
2.Ifcoolantlevelislow,removetheexpansiontankcap
andreplenishthesystem.Donotoverll.
