1.Transmissioncontrolrods
Iftheleftreartireisrotatinginreverse,lengthen
therodbyslowlyturningtherodcounter-clockwise
(asviewedfromthefront)untiltheleftreartire
stopsrotatingorminimalrotationisdetectedin
reverse
Iftheleftreartireisrotatingforward,shortenthe
rodbyslowlyturningtherodclockwise(asviewed
fromthefront)untiltheleftreartirestopsrotating.
4.MovethethrottletotheFastposition.Makesurethe
wheelremainsstoppedorminimalcreepisdetectedin
reverse.Adjustasrequired.
5.Tightenthejamnuts.
6.Repeattheprocedurefortherightreartire,ifrequired,
byusingtherightsidetransmissioncontrolrod.
7.Stoptheengine.Removethejackstandsandlowerthe
machinetotheshopoor.
8.Testdrivethemachinetomakesureitdoesnotcreep.
AdjustingtheMaximum
GroundSpeed
1.DisengagethePTO,releasethetractionpedaltothe
neutralpositionandsettheparkingbrake.
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheSlowposition,stopthe
engine,removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartsto
stopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Loosenthejamnutonthestopboltforthetraction
pedal(Figure47).

4.Adjustthestopboltallthewayin(awayfromthe
tractionpedal).
5.Usingyourhand,pushthetractionpedalalltheway
forward,withlightpressure,untilitstopsandholdit
there.Maintainonlylightpressureonthepedalwhen
pushingittothefullforwardposition.
6.Withtheseatintheraisedposition,verifythatyou
arenotoverloadingthelinkagebymakingsure
thetransmissiondoesnotmovewhenthepedalis
depressedtothestop.
7.Adjustthestopboltout(towardsthetractionpedal)
untilthereisagapof1.5mm(0.060inch)betweenthe
headofthestopboltandthebottomofthetraction
pedal.
8.Tightenthejamnuttosecurethestopboltinplace.
9.Thereversestopboltmaybeadjustedifthemaximum
reversespeedisnotacceptable.Forafasterreverse
speed,adjustthestopboltin.Foraslowerreverse
speed,adjustthestopboltout.
