Procedure
Note:InstallingthePTOdriveshaftiseasierifyou
positionthemachineonahoist.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,shutofftheengine,andremove
thekey.
WARNING
IfyoustarttheengineandallowthePTO
torotate,seriouspersonalinjuryand
machinedamagecouldresult.
•Donotstarttheengineandengagethe
PTOswitchwhenthePTOdriveshaft
isdisconnectedfromthecuttingdeck.
•BeforeyoudisconnectthePTO
driveshaftfromthecutting
deck,disconnectthePTO
solenoid-valve-coilconnector
fromthewireharnesstoprevent
unintentionallyengagingthePTO
clutch.
2.Disconnectthewire-harnessconnectorfromthe
PTOsolenoid-valve-coilconnector(Figure3).
