CAUTION
Ifyouleavethekeyinthekeyswitch,
someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengine
andseriouslyinjureyouorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyfromthekeyswitchbefore
youdoanymaintenance.
PreparingtheMachinefor
Maintenance
1.EnsurethatthePTOisdisengaged.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
4.Lowerthemowerdeck(s)and/orattachments
ifnecessary.
5.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
6.TurnthekeytotheSTOPpositionandremoveit.
7.Allowmachinecomponentstocoolbefore
performingmaintenance.
UsingtheHood-PropRod
1.Releasethehoodlatches.
2.Liftupthehooduntilyoucanpositiontheprop
rodbehindtheframetube(Figure27).
3.Lowerthehooduntiltheproprodisinfrontof
andrestingagainsttheframetube.
4.Tolowerthehood,raisethehooduntilyoucan
raisetheproprodabovetheframetube,then
lowerthehood.
5.Securethehoodlatches.
