•Checkthebladesdailyforsharpnessandfor
anywearordamage.Sharpenthebladesas
necessary.
•Ifabladeisdamagedorworn,replaceit
immediatelywithagenuineTororeplacement
blade.RefertothecuttingunitOperator’sManual
forinstructionstoreplacetheblade.
AfterOperation
GeneralSafety
•Shutofftheengine,removethekey(ifequipped),
andwaitforallmovementtostopbeforeyouleave
theoperator’sposition,Allowthemachinetocool
beforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunits,
mufers,andenginecompartmenttohelpprevent
res.Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
•Ifthecuttingunitsareinthetransportposition,use
thepositivemechanicallock(ifavailable)before
youleavethemachineunattended.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanyenclosure.
•Removethekeyandshutoffthefuel(ifequipped)
beforestoringorhaulingthemachine.
•Neverstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheateroronotherappliances.
•Maintainandcleantheseatbelt(s)asnecessary
PushingtheMachineby
Hand
Ifthemachinestallsorrunsoutoffuel,youmayneed
topushit.Youmustrstopenbothofthehydraulic
bypassvalves.
Important:Alwayspushthemachinebyhand
andneveralongdistance.Nevertowthemachine,
becausedamagetothehydraulicsystemmay
occur.
PushingtheMachine
1.Disengagethepowertakeoff(PTO),turnthekey
totheOFFposition,removethekey,andengage
theparkingbrake.
2.Lifttheseat.
3.Rotateeachbypassvalvecounterclockwise
1turn(Figure26).
Note:Thisallowshydraulicuidtobypassthe
pump,enablingthewheelstoturn.
Important:Donotrotatethebypassvalves
morethan1turn.Thispreventsthevalves
fromcomingoutofthebodyandcausing
uidtorunout.
4.Disengagetheparkingbrakebeforepushing
themachine.
