Thehourmeter(Figure7)recordsthenumberofhoursthat
theenginehasoperated.Itoperateswhenthekeyswitchis
intheRUNposition.Usethesetimesforschedulingregular
maintenance.
Glow-Plug-IndicatorLight(Orange
Light)
Theglow-plug-indicatorlight(Figure7)turnsonwhenyou
turntheignitionswitchtotheONposition.Itremainsonfor
6seconds.Whenthelightturnsoff,youcanstarttheengine.
Engine-Coolant-Temperature-Warning
Light
Thislightglowsandtheattachmentstopsifthetemperature
oftheenginecoolantishigh(Figure7).Ifyoudonotstop
themachineandthecoolanttemperaturerisesanother7°C
(20°F),theengineshutsoff.
Important:Iftheattachmentshutsdownandthe
temperaturewarninglightison,pushthePTOknob
down,drivethemachinetoasafe,atarea,movethe
throttlelevertotheSLOWposition,allowthetraction
pedaltomovetotheNEUTRALposition,andengage
theparkingbrake.Allowtheenginetoidleforseveral
minuteswhileitcoolstoasafelevel.Shutofftheengine
andcheckthecoolingsystem;refertoCheckingthe
CoolingSystem(page45).
ChargeIndicator
Thechargeindicatorilluminateswhenthecharging-system
circuitmalfunctions(Figure7).
Oil-Pressure-WarningLight
Theoil-pressure-warninglight(Figure7)glowswhentheoil
pressureinenginedropsbelowasafelevel.Iflowoilpressure
everoccurs,shutofftheengineanddeterminethecause.
Repairthedamagebeforestartingtheengineagain.
FuelGauge
Thefuelgauge(Figure8)indicatestheamountoffuel
remaininginthefueltank.
