1 Preparing the Machine No Parts Required Procedure 1. Park the machine on a level surface. 2. Remove the mower deck covers. 3. Raise the center and both wing decks to the transport position. Note: Use a jack stand to support the center deck. Secure the wing decks with the transport deck lock. 4. Shut off the engine, set the parking brake, and remove the key from the ignition. Figure 1 5. Thoroughly clean mower decks.

11. Torque the screw at the front of each outer skid to 9 to 11 N∙m (80 to 100 in-lb). CAUTION The blades are sharp and could cause injury to you or bystanders. Rotate the blades away from the installation area to avoid contact.

Secure the baffle to the existing baffle using a carriage bolt (5/16 x 7/8 inch) and nut (5/16 inch) as shown in Figure 5. 4. 8. Tighten the fasteners on the right and left winglet baffles. 2. Align the center baffle with the mounting holes in the mower deck and secure with 5 carriage bolts (5/16 x 7/8 inch) and 5 nuts (5/16 inch) as shown in Figure 10. 9. Rotate the blades by hand to verify that the deck baffles do not interfere with their operation.
