Speed
Control Cable Adjustment
Refer to Figure
9-9.
The speed control cable must
be installed properly to obtain full-load, full-speed
operation. Adjust the speed control cable as fol-
lows:
1.
Stop the engine and loosen the speed control
cable clamp located on the engine throttle con-
trol plate.
2.
Push the speed control lever on the equipment
to the high speed position. On equipment with-
out a separate choke control be sure the speed
control lever is not in the start or choke position.'
3.
Move the throttle control lever to align the lock
pin holes in the control plate and throttle control
lever and insert a pin to lock the lever in place.
4.
Remove the slack
from
the speed control cable
and tighten the speed control cable clamp. Re-
move the lock pin in the control plate.
5.
Start the engine according to the equipment
manufacturer's recommendations, observing
all safety precautions.
