Important:Aloosesparkplugcanbecomevery
hotandcandamagetheengine;overtighteninga
sparkplugmaydamagethethreadsinthecylinder
head.

BeltMaintenance
CheckingtheBeltTension
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily—Checkthebelt
tension.Iftheengineisworkingbut
thecuttingbladesseemunderpowered,
checkthebelttension.
1.Stopthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine
byreleasingtheoperatorpresencebail,disconnectthe
sparkplugwire,andraisethecuttingbladestothe
transportposition.
2.Removethe4boltssecuringthebeltcovertotheleft
sideofthemachineandremovethecover(Figure21).
