1.Stopthemachineonalevelsurface,andstopthe
enginebyreleasingtheoperatorpresencebail.
2.Lowertheailbladestothelowestposition.
3.Tiltthemachineforwardontoitsnose,restingona
blockofwood.
Note:Itwilltake2peopletotipthemachineforward
safely.
4.Spintheailbladeassembly.
Note:Itshouldspinfreely.Ifitmakesagrinding
noiseandishalting,thebearingsareworn;replace
themwhenyoureplacetheblades.
5.Removethecotterpinfromrodwiththeworndown
ail(Figure21).
6.Carefullypullouttherodtoreleasetheailsand
spacers(Figure21).
7.Replaceworndownailswithnewonesanddiscard
theoldails.
