Parking-BrakeHandle
Theparking-brakehandleislocatedonthecontrol
console,totherightofthekeyswitch(Figure11).
Note:Thebrakehandleengagesaparkingbrakein
eachofthetransmissions.
•Toengagetheparkingbrake,pullthehandleout
andslideitrearward.
•Toreleasetheparkingbrake,pushthehandle
forwardintothedetent.
Whenparkingonasteepslope,chockorblockthe
wheelsinadditiontoengagingtheparkingbrake.Tie
downthemachineandengagetheparkingbrake
whentransportingthemachine.
HourMeter
Thehourmeterislocatedabovethekeyswitch
(Figure11).
Thehourmeterdisplaysthetotalnumberofhours
thatyouhaverunthemachine.
KeySwitch
Thekeyswitchislocatedontherightsideofthe
controlconsole(Figure11).
Usethekeyswitchtostartandshutofftheengine.
Theswitchhas3positions:OFF,ON,andSTART
(Figure12).

Thetineground-engagementfootswitchislocated

Pushdownonthetopoftheswitchtoenablethetine
ground-engagementfootswitch.Pushdowntherear
oftheswitchtodisablethefootswitch.
Tine-PressureGauge
Thetine-pressuregaugeislocatedinthemiddleof
thecontrolconsole(Figure11).
Thetine-pressuregaugetoindicatesthedownward
pressurethemachineexertsonthetineswhen
aerating.
Tines-ElevationSwitch
Keepyourhandsandfeetawayfromthetines.
Makesurethatthetinesareaisclearofany
obstructionsbeforeloweringit.
Thetine-elevationswitchislocatedontheoperator
platform(Figure11).
Tolowerthetinesintotheground,standonthe
tine-elevationswitch.T oraisethetines,removeyour
footfromtheswitch.
Fuel-ShutoffValve
Thefuel-shutoffvalveislocatedbehindtheengine
andunderthefueltank(Figure13).
Usethefuel-shutoffvalvetoshutoffthefuelwhen
themachinewillnotbeusedforafewdays,when
transportingthemachinetoandfromthejobsite,or
whenthemachineisparkedinsideabuilding.
•Toopenforfuel-shutoffvalve,rotatethehandle
ofthefuel-shutoffvalveuntilitisalignedwiththe
fuelline.
•Toclosethefuel-shutoffvalve,rotatethehandle
90°tothefuelline.
