PreventingFreeze-upafterUse
•Insnowyandcoldconditions,somecontrolsandmoving
partsmayfreeze.Donotuseexcessiveforcewhen
tryingtooperatefrozencontrols.Ifyouhavedifculty
operatinganycontrolorpart,starttheengineandletit
runforafewminutes.
•Afterusingthemachine,lettheenginerunforafew
minutestopreventmovingpartsfromfreezing.Engage
theauger/impellertoclearanyremainingsnowfrom
insidethehousing.RotatetheQuickSticktopreventit
fromfreezing.Shutofftheengine,waitforallmoving
partstostop,andremovealliceandsnowfromthe
machine.
•Withtheengineoff,pulltherecoil-starthandleseveral
timesandpushtheelectric-starterbuttononcetoprevent
therecoilandelectricstartersfromfreezingup.

•Checktheairpressureinthetiresandinatethemto116to137kPa(17to20psi).
•Drainthefuelandruntheenginetodryoutthefueltankandthecarburetoratthe
endoftheseason.
•HaveanAuthorizedServiceDealerinspectandreplacethetractiondrivebeltand/or
theauger/impellerdrivebelt,ifnecessary.

•PurchaseonlygenuineTororeplacementpartsand
accessories.
PreparingforMaintenance
1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
3.Disconnectthespark-plugwire;referto.
