CheckingtheBroomSegments
1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Turnofftheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,
andremovethesparkplugwire(s).
3.Raisethebroombyresettingthecasterpositions.
4.Onbothsidesoftheunit,removeandretaintheouter
bearinghousinghardware.
5.Manuallypullthepowerunitrearwardtoremovethe
broomassemblyfromtheunit.
6.Supportthesplinedshaftoneithersideofthegearbox.
7.Standthebroomcoreassemblyonendsothe
removableendretainerplateisfacingupward.

Important:Makesurethebearingsetscrewsare
tightenedbeforeoperatingthebroom.
AdjustingtheTractionCable
Ifthemachinedoesnotdriveintheforwardorreversespeeds
oritdriveswhenyoureleasethetractionlever,adjustthe
tractioncable.
Withthetractionleverdisengaged,checkthepininthe
elongatedslotintheleftsideofthemachineabovethetire.
Thereshouldbeagapof6mm(1/4inch)fromthefrontof
theslottothefrontedgeofthepin(CheckingtheTraction
Cable(page16)).
Ifthelefthandtractioncableisnotproperlyadjusted,do
thefollowingsteps:
1.Loosenthejamnut.
2.Loosenortightentheturnbuckletoadjustthepinuntil
itisthepropergapfromthefrontedgeoftheslot.
3.Tightenthejamnut(
Figure19).
