StoppingtheEngine
1.Releasethebroom-driveleverandthetraction-drive
lever.
2.PlacethethrottlemidwaybetweentheSLOWandFAST
positions(Figure10).
3.Allowtheenginetorunforaminimumof15seconds,
thenturntheengineOn/OffswitchtotheOFF
positiontostoptheengine(Figure10).
4.Waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
5.Usethefuel-shutoffvalvetoshutofftheowoffuel
whenyouwillnotusethemachineforafewdays,park
themachineinsideabuilding,ortransportthemachine
toandfromthejobsite(Figure9).
DrivingtheMachine
CAUTION
Ifthetractiondriveisnotproperlyadjusted,the
machinemaymoveinthedirectionoppositeof
whatyouintended,causinginjuryand/orproperty
damage.
Carefullycheckthetractiondriveandadjustit
properly,ifnecessary.
Important:Ifthemachinemoveswhenthetraction
leverisinthereleasedposition,checkthetractioncable;
refertoCheckingtheTractionCable(page23)and
AdjustingtheTractionCable(page23)orcontactyour
authorizedTorodealer.
DrivingForward
1.Placethespeedselectorlevertothedesiredforward
position,makingsurethatitlocksinthenotch(Figure
11).

willpileupinfrontofthebroomcausingthebroom
tobulldozeinsteadofsweep.Thiscandamagethe
bristlesandthedriveline.

thedrivetotherightwheel,whiletheleftwheel
continuesdriving,andthemachineturnstotheright.
