theelongatedslotintheleftsideofthemachineabove
thetire(Figure30).
Note:Thereshouldbeagapof6mm(1/4inch)
fromthefrontoftheslottothefrontedgeofthepin
(Figure30).
Note:Ifadjustmentisnecessary,refertoAdjusting
theTractionCable(page23).

AdjustingtheTractionCable
Ifthemachinedoesnotdriveintheforwardorreversespeeds
oritdriveswhenyoureleasethetractionlever,adjustthe
tractioncable.
Withthetractionleverdisengaged,checkthepininthe
elongatedslotintheleftsideofthemachineabovethetire.
Thereshouldbeagapof6mm(1/4inch)fromthefront
oftheslottothefrontedgeofthepin;refertoChecking
theTractionCable(page23).
Ifthelefttractioncableisnotproperlyadjusted,dothe
followingsteps:
1.Loosenthejamnut(Figure31).
2.Loosenortightentheturnbuckletoadjustthepinuntil
itisthepropergapfromthefrontedgeoftheslot
(Figure31).
3.Tightenthejamnut(Figure31).
