1.Placethespeed-selectorleverintothedesired
reverse-speedrange,makingsurethatthe
speedselectorlocksinthenotch.

andslowlysqueezethelefttractionlevertothe
handle.
Note:Momentarilysqueezingandreleasingthe
leftorrightwheel-clutchleverallowsforsteering
adjustmentstokeepthemachinegoingina
straightline.
Note:Toturnright,squeezetheright
wheel-clutchlevertowardthehandle.This
disengagesthedrivetotherightwheelwhilethe
leftwheelcontinuesdriving,andthemachine
turnstotheright.

Note:Squeezingbothwheel-clutchlevers
simultaneouslydisengagesthedrivetobothwheels.
Thisenablesyoutomovethemachinerearward
withoutstoppingtoshiftitintoareversegear.Italso
allowsyoutomaneuverandtransportthemachine
moreeasilywhentheengineisnotrunning.

Whenthemachineisinoperation,contact
withrotatingormovingpartswillseverely
injurehandsandfeet.
Beforeadjusting,cleaning,inspecting,
troubleshooting,orrepairingthemachine,
shutofftheengineandwaitforallmoving
partstostop.Disconnectthewirefrom
thesparkplugandkeepitawayfromthe
plugtopreventsomeonefromaccidentally
startingtheengine.
Staybehindthehandlesandawayfromthe
broomwhileoperatingthemachine.
Keepface,hands,feet,andanyother
partofyourbodyorclothingawayfrom
concealed,moving,orrotatingparts.
